Third grade families celebrated our learning of Santa Barbara history by traveling up to the Sage Hill campsite. There, we ventured on a four mile hike and participated in a variety of activities, such as making lanterns, using natural dyes to paint Chumash symbols, and practicing finding an archaeological site. After our activities, some families chose to continue the experience with an overnight camping trip.
